Poisoning with rat bait).

Warfarin-type and second generation hydroxycoumarin anticoagulant poisoning in cats and dogs.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Administration to Pregnant animals.
PRECAUTIONS:
Not effective in heparin over dosage.

Tablets may be used five to seven days at the rate of 1-12.5mg/Kg (1 tablet per 4 to 40Kg bodyweight daily), according to severity of the condition, clinical response and changing clotting times. Tablets may be crumbled and added to foods.
Evaluate prothrombin levels at least every three days for nine to ten days. If prolongation of clotting time remains, reinstitute therapy for another one to two weeks. Poisoning by second generation hydroxycoumarins (brodifacoum, bromadiolone) may require K-Mav therapy for three to four weeks.
