Indication | Infections, due to susceptible organisms, of the alimentary tract, respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, genitourinary tract in dogs and cats where a single injection giving prolonged activity is required; secondary bacterial infection. |
Contraindications | Intravenous or intrathecal injection. Administration to rabbits, guinea pigs or small herbivores, or to animals with a history of sensitivity to penicillins. |
Actions | Broad spectrum semisynthetic penicillin, bactericidal in action. It is effective in vitro against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Provides high initial peak plasma levels and sustained therapeutic cover for 48 hours. |
Precautions | Observe normal aseptic precautions. Use dry syringe for extraction of suspension to avoid hydrolysis of amoxycillin. |
Dosage and Administration | Shake well before use. Dogs, cats. Administer by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection: 1.0 mL/10 kg bodyweight. Use vial contents within 28 days of initial broaching and discard any unused portion. |
Storage | Store below 25°C (air conditioning). Do not freeze. Protect from light. |
