Indication | Treatment of conditions caused by or associated with oxytetracycline sensitive organisms and infections in cattle, sheep and pigs. |
Warnings | The use of oxytetracycline during the period of tooth development, including late pregnancy, may lead to tooth discolouration.Occasional sensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis) to oxytetracycline have been known to occur. For anaphylaxis, administer adrenaline immediately. |
Dosage and Administration | Cattle. 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight (≡ 20 mg/kg bodyweight) by subcutaneous or deep intramuscular injection. Sheep. 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight by intramuscular injection. Pigs. 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight (≡ 20 mg/kg bodyweight) by intramuscular injection. Do not administer more than two injections to any pig.The maximum recommended dose volume is 10 mL per site for intramuscular injections.If necessary, a second dose may be administered 72 hours after the initial dose. |
Storage | Store below 25°C (air conditioning). Discard 90 days after initial use when stored under these conditions. |
