| Indication | Immunisation of dogs against Bordetella bronchiseptica and canine parainfluenza virus. |
| Actions | Vaccination and challenge trials have demonstrated the efficacy of the vaccine against canine cough due to parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. Canine cough is a multifactorial disease involving many agents, including canine distemper virus and canine adenovirus. |
| Precautions | Vaccinate only healthy dogs with normal temperatures. Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches or dogs receiving corticosteroids. |
| Dosage and Administration | Canigen KC can be used as a diluent for Canigen C3 (Canigen DHA2P Trivalent Living Vaccine).Vaccination programs. Primary vaccination in puppies from 6 weeks of age. Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly two doses of vaccine at an interval of one month. Primary vaccination in dogs 12 weeks of age and older. Inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly two doses of vaccine at an interval of one month. An annual booster is recommended. Conditions of severe infectious risk. Susceptible puppies may benefit from starting a vaccination program at 6 weeks of age. Vaccination at two to three week intervals until 16 weeks of age may be appropriate in high risk situations. |
