Dosage and Administration | Use immediately after reconstitution with 1 mL of a suitable diluent (e.g. Water for Injections BP) or Companion KC vaccine, transferred aseptically. Note : the removable label should only be removed after the dose has been given.Recommended vaccination program. In normal circumstances. Primary vaccination in dogs over 12 weeks of age: inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly a single dose of vaccine. Primary vaccination in puppies from 8 to 12 weeks of age: inject subcutaneously or intramuscularly two doses of vaccine at an interval of one month.Due to the interference of maternal antibodies with active immunisation, protection of young puppies can be difficult, especially in infected kennels. Epidemiological conditions and likely persistence of maternal antibodies (e.g. antibody titres of the mother, age of weaning) can thus influence the individual response of any given puppy. Under severe infectious risk. Primary vaccination in puppies up to 16 weeks of age: administer a dose of vaccine at two to three week intervals. Revaccination. This product has been assessed as providing at least 12 months' protection. Many factors influence the effectiveness of vaccination and the need for revaccination. The vaccination program for an individual animal should be determined within a veterinarian-client-animal relationship, taking all these factors into account. |
