Indication | Relief of pruritus associated with allergic skin disorders in dogs and cats. |
Contraindications | Administration to animals with glaucoma, prostate disease, stomach or intestinal obstruction, urinary obstruction, certain heart or lung diseases, high blood pressure or hyperthyroidism. Administration to pregnant or lactating animals. |
Precautions | Disposal Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in garbage. |
Dosage and Administration | Dogs. < 10 kg. Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 to 8 mg, i.e. Iramine 4 mg: 1 tablet; or Iramine 8 mg: ½ tablet. 10 to 25 kg. Iramine 4 mg: 1½ tablets; Iramine 8 mg: 1 tablet. > 25 kg. Iramine 4 mg: 2 tablets; Iramine 8 mg: 1 tablet. Administer every eight to twelve hours (two to three times a day). Cats. Chlorpheniramine maleate 1 to 2 mg (Iramine 4 mg: ¼ to ½ tablet; Iramine 8 mg: ¼ tablet) every eight to twelve hours. |
