Vetoryl
Vetoryl is use for the treatment of Cushing’s syndrome in dogs. Cushing syndrome is where your dog’s body make too much cortisol. Although cortisol is important to help maintain stress, body weight, fight infections and maintain blood sugar levels. Too much cortisol can lead to thinning of the skin, hair loss, tiredness, weight gain, excessive panting, increased thirst and hunger. Vetoryl blocks the formation of steroid hormones reducing the amount of cortisol in the body improving their condition.

Vetoryl is safe, but it is important that you get regular blood tests to ensure the correct dose for your dog.
Vetoryl works fast in controlling cortisol levels. Cortisol is most significantly suppressed for 3 to 8 hours after you have given your dog Vetoryl capsules with food.
In most cases of Cushing's syndrome, dogs can be managed with once daily dosing. However, if clinical signs are not controlled for the full day, twice daily dosing may be needed. Once an optimum dose of Vetoryl Capsules has been reached, the dog should be re-examined at 30 days, 90 days and every 3 months thereafter or as directed by your veterinarian.
