For an optimal response to the parainfluenza component, animals should be vaccinated twice, two to four weeks apart, with the final vaccination at 10 weeks of age or older. It is recommended that dogs be revaccinated against distemper, hepatitis and parvovirus every three years. It is recommended that dogs be revaccinated for the parainfluenza component every 12 months. Many factors influence the effectiveness of vaccination and the need for revaccination.
