Dosage and Administration:
For external use only
One collar for each kitten or cat
One collar per animal to be fastened around the neck.
Remove collar from protective pouch immediately before use. Unroll collar and detach plastic connectors remaining on the inside edge of the collar (these can cause mechanical irritation if not removed). Adjust the collar around the animal’s neck without over-tightening (as a guide, it should be possible to insert 2 fingers between the collar and the neck). Pull collar through the loop and cut off any excess length extending beyond 2 cm.
Important: Once collar is unrolled make sure that there are no plastic connectors remaining on the inside edge of the collar"
The collar should be worn continuously for the full protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when kittens are rapidly growing.
The patented Bayer polymer matrix system ensures that both active ingredients are slowly and continuously released in low concentrations from the collar towards the animal. This ensures that insecticidal concentrations of both actives are present in the cat’s haircoat during the entire efficacy period. The active substances spread from the site of direct contact over the entire skin surface. The modes of action do not require systemic absorption of active ingredients into the cat, so efficacy is achieved without requiring fleas to bite and ingest a blood meal.
This collar is designed with a safety-closure mechanism. In the unlikely event of a cat being trapped, the cat’s own strength is sufficient to widen the collar to allow for quick release.
The effect of frequent exposure to water (e.g. bathing, rain) or shampooing has not been established.
Kittens may be treated with ADVANTAGE SERESTO® FLEA COLLAR from 10 weeks of age. If kittens younger than 10 weeks require flea control they may be safely treated with ADVANTAGE® for kittens and small cats up to 4kg

|Actions||Imidacloprid belongs to the nitromethylene heterocycle molecules and is also referred to as a neonicotinoid. The insecticidal activity of imidacloprid is a result of its effect on the insect's nervous system. It penetrates the intersegmental membranes of insects on contact (no oral drug ingestion by parasites is needed for action) and interacts with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of the postsynaptic membrane. Typical symptoms in fleas are rapid loss of coordination, tetanic muscle contractions, intense trembling of legs and pumping movements of the whole body within minutes of exposure, with death of the flea following shortly after.Flumethrin belongs to the α-cyano or type II pyrethroids, synthetic compounds that are derived from the natural pyrethrin insecticides found in the flowers of various Tanacetum plant species. Flumethrin is characterised by a very strong acaricidal and a less pronounced insecticidal activity. It also acts on contact with parasites and interacts with their nervous systems by causing neurons to become hyperexcitable. The active ingredient's absorption behaviour and metabolism is responsible for the high safety margin of flumethrin in dogs, as well as in cats. The combination of imidacloprid and flumethrin results in a significant increase in flea mortality compared to an application of the individual compounds (synergy). The patented Bayer polymer matrix system of Seresto ensures that both active ingredients are slowly and continuously released in low concentrations from the collar to the animal. The active substances spread from the site of direct contact over the entire skin surface. This ensures that insecticidal concentrations of both active ingredients are present in the cat's hair coat during the entire efficacy period.|
