| Contraindications | Anuria. |
| Actions | Frusemide is an efficient diuretic which increases the urinary excretion of water, sodium, chloride and potassium. It acts primarily by affecting sodium resorption in the loop of Henle. Diuretic effects may occur within one hour after oral dosing, and peak effects within two hours. |
| Warnings | Long-term therapy may result in hyponatraemia and/or hypokalaemia. |
| Precautions | Use with caution in animals with impaired renal or hepatic function. Monitor electrolyte balance in prolonged medication. |
| Dosage and Administration | Dogs, cats. 1 tablet/10 kg once or twice daily at eight hour intervals. Severe cases may require double the stated dose. |
| Storage | Store below 30°C (room temperature). Protect from light. |
